Our Parents
Thanks to our parents for supporting us during build season and beyond. Parents are the driving force behind each student on the team. And thankfully, they also drive many of us to and from robotics since our meetings are held in the evenings and on weekends.
Parents manage logistics details associated with the running of the team, including communications, transportation, food, team activities and setting up fundraisers. Parent involvement has helped assure that we work in an outstanding environment for both studying and working. Our parent team has provided meals two and sometimes three times a week, staffed our study hall, and hosted team parties. Our coach has set standards for team participation and travel. Our study hall uses these standards to assure that our student's grades do not suffer. Our parents get together once a month for team briefings to plan and work out logistics and generally stay in the loop.
In essence, our parents are the foundation of the Aviation High School Robotics Team. Without these great parents we would be lost, starving, and academically deficient individuals. So the greatest thanks goes to the many, the proud, the parents!
