Skunk Works Robotics is affiliated with Raisbeck Aviation High School, located in Seattle, Washington. We are registered as Team 1983 with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Our name, Skunk Works, is inspired by Lockheed Martin’s top secret Skunk Works program, where the company designed many incredible aircraft such as the SR-71. We are now in to our eighth year as a team and have grown and improved with each year.
While robotics is our passion, the Skunks recognize that FIRST calls upon them to do more than just build robots. Through Skunk Works Robotics, the Skunks are active in schools, their community, and with other FIRST teams. By encouraging students to pursue education and employment in STEM fields, FIRST works to preserve our region's economic strength and advance our global competitiveness.

Warm thanks go out to our friends and families who showed their support by attending our 2013 annual Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction. It was a fun night with live music, great spaghetti and meatballs, and delicious desserts. We also offered other special items available up for bid like our world famous yard work extravaganza, team photos, robotics team shirts and a scenic flight around Puget Sound. In addition, we tested out the new video equipment we will be using for videotaping the district events. Another successful evening!
